    What also amazes is --- and tell me if you disagree --- I think they genuinely do believe that WE want to imprison and genocide THEM.

      I certainly don't disagree. They believe we are the violent ones.

      In fact, that is why they have to be violent first, so they can prevent us from hurting them, which we were obviously planning to do. The old fascist script again.

      Ayyup. Fascists simultaneously believe that they are innocents surrounded by vicious enemies that will kill them if they get the chance, so they have to strike first AND that they are dynamos of masculine violence that will strike while their impotent enemies fret.

      Notice how often Muir indulges in both these modes of thought.
