"Waaah! They Have To Be Cheating!"

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Jack Armstrong.

You know, this is a fascinating multi-level fail right here. Aside from the 'So the California Democrats will cheat to push out a Republican Mayoral candidate, but not a Republican Gubernatorial candidate" bit, he's failing to consider that if Pratt had gotten in, he would have then had to win... the actual election.

But then, anything that let's Muir whine and scream that it isn't fair, and the other guys are cheating.

Once Again, He Thinks This Shit Shows What A Hard-Hitting Journalist She Is.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Phantom.

Most of the nation looks on the slush fund, and sees obvious corruption that will be used to finance the seditious goons that Trump already got off the hook for further seditious goonery.

Muir thinks he sees a winning issue and more proof of how his opponents are stupid and he is so smart.

Ah, Yes. That Is All That Is Happening With The Plans For High Speed Rail In California.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Radar Men From the Moon.

You know, there's a fascinating tale of corruption, failure and waste regarding those railroad plans.

It's just not the lazy story Muir's telling about it.

"AllCrooksAllCrooksAllCrooks..."

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Government Agents vs. the Phantom Legion.

As usual, the accusations are confessions, because Muir doesn't believe in honest government, just one that does atrocities as it grifts.

"YES, THIS IS CLEARLY WHAT'S HAPPENING IN CALIFORNIA RIGHT NOW!"

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Don Daredevil Rides Again.

It's kind of fascinating that he jumps onto the Swalwell story well after it's fallen to the wayside, and crows triumphantly about the state of California Democrats right as the governor's race starts seeing solid front-runners emerge. But then coming in a day late and a dollar short while screaming about bright futures that don't happen has been Muir's calling card for decades now, hasn't it?

Muir Listens To The Sage-Like Discourse Of Whiskey Pete.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because King of the Forest Rangers.

There's something grotesque about watching Muir recast Kegsbreath as his idea of a sophisticated military thinker, especially as that idea isn't actually that, but a bad parody of it, spouting ideas Muir's gotten second or third hand while failing to understand.

That  it includes Muir's typical "Inferior Blue States! They are not true Murican!" drivel just makes it worse.

Always Be Gullible And Resentful!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Week-End Mystery.

It says something that when the twins aren't talking like a pair of 30s comics moppets, they're talking like a couple of bitter racist old hicks.

Boy, Remember When This Was A Lousy Office Comedy Strip With Bad Political Humor?

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because don't let the sun blast your shadow.

This is the strip now. This ludicrous soap opera based around Muir's pathetic wish fulfillment alter ego dealing with things that aren't happening, as Muir spits Nazi filth and grumbles that he's still got it, or at least, his imaginary version of himself does.

...Okay.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The King in Yellow.

I know I've said it before, but the shout-outs to fans keeping getting fucking weirder and weirder.

Remember, Nancy Pelosi Is Old.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because bullseye.

It's nice to see Sam can spend her time chuckling over this nothingburger of a plot instead of... you know, worrying about that flooding in the state she lives in.

Ominous Musical Sting.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Song of the Petalars.

It's been five years, I think we've lapped multiple points where Muir insisted people who got vaccinated were going to start dropping like flies, his asshole side have gotten to play Russian Roulette with the public health and he's still putting out shit like this. Because Muir always has to feel like he knows the hidden secret truth, no matter who the fuck pays the price.

Damn, This Is A Lazy Strip.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because summer breeze, makes me feel fine.

You really get the impression that Muir's bored of this plotline and is going to try and wrap it up quickly.

It's Pronounced 'Lee-on' Actually.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because the white knight is balancing on the fire poker.

Once again, Muir doesn't even bother to try with the designated baddie, who starts out by explaining that he exists solely to be humiliated, and to set up more terrible Terminator jokes.

The Pervert Nazi Says You're All Pervert Nazis.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because hear the magic, hear the roar.

...Again, the hypocrisy and projection of all this works on so many levels. This full 'every accusation is a confession' territory, especially because Muir is making all this shit up. It all comes out of his own head. Just think on that and shudders.

He Just Keeps Piling Things On, No Matter How It Contradicts Itself.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because it's been surreal.

So, California is simultaneously a land ruled by hypocritical elitists reducing the populace to de facto serfhood, AND a place where the weak-willed moonbats in charge are taken advantage of by the locust-like immigrants they keep imagining are people.

Once again, this is not compatible. At least not when both are carried the ludicrous extremes Muir is carrying things to here. If one or the other had been dialed down, it might be made to work within this fictional universe, albeit while still be racist propaganda. But now, once again, Muir doesn't even bother standing his straw men up, just plops them down and pretends "beating" this imaginary enemy proves something. It's the ongoing problem of the strip--his baddies not only fail to be plausible threats, they fail to be plausible at all.

The Dearth Of Imagination In Muir's Hellscapes.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because the Broken Order to Standby.

So Muir's tossing his 'Blue States are the Real Dictatorships/Feudal States" and his "The LIBS WANT US TO EAT BUGS" nonsense together. Strips like this remind you he's such an odd man at the bottom of him.

Tuesday, July 1, 2025

Behold, The Decadent Cosmopolitans!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because fire me, boy!

And Muir immediately undercuts his whole "these are vile degenerate elitists' by having Skye remind us that the cast regularly enjoys just this sort luxury. But that's different. They're fascist white bigots, so they're the right sort of elite.

Monday, June 30, 2025

Stop Pretending You Know What Words Mean, Muir. We Know You Don't.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because the slug.

For a man who loves to insist his opponents are just clowns repeating things they don't understand, well...

Just look at all that.
