A Sullen Bigot Imagines More Sullen Bigots.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Do or Die.

This is what Muir produces when he tries to imagine a master race. Obnoxious, repulsive racists convinced of their own superiority, and easily persuaded that the bloody purge is coming any day now. Kiko fails as a sympathetic character on every level. She's not just a clumsy propaganda piece, she's such a horror that anyone outside the racist bubble wants her to lose.

They Want To Keep The Imagined Immigrants Out, But Import Their Imagined Values.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Lion Man.

As Muir declares victory yet again, because in the game in his head, he will not only shift the goalposts in whatever directions he wants, he will change the points system, we await him explaining that gay rights and women's equality are evil lies and another things the masses have wisely abandoned as we enter the new age of chudifcation.

This present 'the cast just yammers at each other plotline' is so tiresome. It just emphasizes how unpleasant the cast are. They are simply awful and hateful and they think that all this makes them better than other people.

Stuff That Is Totally Happening, He's Sure Of It.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Red Glove.

Muir appears to have fallen for an online rumor hook, line, and sinker. Let's put aside the fact that the New IRA, the present group that actually occasionally does terrorism, has about 200 members, which makes its ability to perform this threat... shall we say, doubtful. The actual IRA--well, IRAs, there have been quite a few splinter groups--is a generally left-wing organization with traditional ties to the Palestinian liberation movement, who are largely more interested in getting the British out of Northern Ireland so the island can be united than this sort of blood and soil bullshit. But hey, Muir is convinced he just loves the Irish, so he falls for this. Which by the way, is largely being represented as coming from Irish and British intelligence sources. (Hell, fun fact, most of the Irish/Norn Iron bigot squad are resentful of this, and are convinced this is a government plot to tie them with being... terrorists!) But again, Muir thinks this is a cool thing, and more proof of how people everywhere are getting With It, and so we get this weird and horny gushing over the idea.

Muir Once Again Declares Nobody Is Racist Enough For Him.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Under the Crescent.

And we move from pretending that Trump is mostly great to pretending that everybody is plotting against Muir again.

Always fun to see Muir spiraling.

"We Need To Tell The Founding Fathers To Be MORE Racist!"

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Perils of the Wilderness.

Did I call it, or did I call it?

This whiny, pathetic, hateful little screed is Muir imagining himself to be so, SO patriotic.

Because he hates this country, and he hates everything that's decent. But he has to pretend to himself that he doesn't.

Once You Go Nazi, Everything's An Excuse For A Cull.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Brenda Starr, Reporter.

I see Muir's trying to distract himself from watching the Second Trump Administration hit its terminal phase by looking across the Atlantic for things to be a racist moral nullity about.

Next, She'll Tell Him How Great He Looks.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Desert Hawk.

And once again, delusion and utter sycophancy is the sign of a great reporter in Muir's mind. At least, if the government is a fascist trainwreck. Anyone else must see you trying to hurl crazyshit against the wall to see if it will stick.

Desperately Restarting A Defunct Plotline.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Spider's Web.

And as we wonder if this time around we're finally going to see Ian's face, I just want to say what thoroughly revolting characters the twins have turned into, a pair of whiny, entitled bigots who put a front of bold superiority to cover being a pair of cowards who fear anything different or new, and blame everyone else for the obvious results of this. They're good proof of Raylan Givens' famous maxim (which I am freely paraphrasing)--"If you run into an asshole now and then, well, that's life. If everybody you run into is an asshole--no, you're the asshole." They're young women with the soul of a cantankerous old man.

'Cause, yeah, that's what they are.

Muir Blubbers About Things That Didn't Happen.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Police Reporter.

Ahh, yes. Muir uses the fictional event he wrote, thus controlling every aspect of it to segue into a nonsense conspiracy claim and then to whine about how the Dems are being so mean to Trump.

When you look at it carefully, you realize this is a defensive squat trying to pretend to be a gallant charge.

Join The Owens Twins As They Re-Enact Scenes From 'Taxi Driver'...

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Mysterious Airman.

And another return to Teeter, the city with the politics of Austin and the geographic position of El Paso. Now, ultimately, all the racist swill, hatred of cities and screaming at inferior leftists is, well, potboiler Muir bullshit at this point. (It's interesting that Kiko can somehow just identify random Hispanic men on the streets of a freaking border city as illegal immigrants, but this fascist fantasy, so what do you expect?) No, I'm gonna to focus on a more interesting question. Now, Teeter is supposedly a college town.

So, what's the college called? Is it 'UTTeeter'? 'UTT'? Just 'Teeter'? Or is it a private university with religious ties? You know what? As I'm doing this as a joke, I'll make it the last one. Teeter's college is a Catholic university, originally founded by Jesuits in the 1920s, and is known as the University of Saint Jesus Malverde de Sinola, or JMS for short. And that is what I'm going to use in all future jokes I tell about Muir's ridiculous little imaginary city.

"AllCrooksAllCrooksAllCrooks..."

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Government Agents vs. the Phantom Legion.

As usual, the accusations are confessions, because Muir doesn't believe in honest government, just one that does atrocities as it grifts.

"Again, All Totally True! It Has To Be! I Want To Believe It!"

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because King of the Texas Rangers.

As we get the usual batshit conspiracies, and being told that the redneck superman is our superior, I feel obligated to note that we haven't seen Muir go this heavy into his evil Muslims in a while. I guess this war is stirring something in him.

"This Is All Totally True! Internet Randos Would Never Lie To Me!"

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Jungle Girl.

Muir has apparently finally worked out that he can publish a cartoon later, and have it show up on the day he would have liked to have it been published originally. I guess crisis can give birth to creativity.

Which is about the only creative thing in this strip, which is the standard Muir awfulness, racism and pushing conspiracy theories.

Clearly The Only Thing Holding These Fools Back Is A Treacherous Lack Of Will!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Vigilantes Are Coming.

Sometimes, Muir imagines worlds where his losses are really victories. And sometimes, he does this, imagines worlds where his causes are incredibly popular and self-evidently right, held back only by the treachery of the weak establishment. (To make it clear, while a few portions of the SAVE Act are broadly popular, largely because many people don't know they aren't necessary and don't understand how disenfranchising they'd be, it's not enjoying some immense groundswell of support.)

Weep For The Imaginary Widow!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Trans-Atlantic Murder Mystery.

Aside from Muir's classic 'The imaginary thing that I wrote up demonstrates how right I am', it's that last bit about how they need to do this "electorally" that gets me. Not only is it meaningless gobbledygook, it comes on months--hell, years--of Muir dreaming about brutally purging the country of people who disagree with him. But this is another classic aspect of Muir--he'll get mealy-mouthed in his fascism at odd moments, and try to pretend that he didn't say what he said, or that it has some kind of special meaning that doesn't make it what it is.

Spot The Tautology!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Campus Mystery.

It is of course dreadfully easy to declare your group the only real Americans when you make membership in the group the only way to be a real American. Muir can always attempt to live in his fantasy where the unpopular idiocy he supports isn't unpopular and isn't idiocy, but it keeps running into the simple problem of not being real.
