Getting Upset About Fascist Tyranny Means You're An Over Emotional LADY!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Crane Poison Case.

Muir's constant insistence that his bigoted, cowardly nonsense is backed by "reason" is a pretty good example of his using definitions for words that don't match their actual definitions.

Angry Old Man Shouts At Cloud.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Scorched Face.

The horrible sense of an obnoxious old man who never managed to stop being an obnoxious twelve year old at heart, in all the worst ways. No childlike sense of wonder. Just a smug conviction that you are right, you deserve everything you want, and anyone who is different than you is stupid and stuff.

He Spouts Drivel, And Thinks It Is Wit.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Who Killed Bob Teal?

There's nothing particularly surprising in Muir's latest bit of fascist projection. Muir panics, as he has been panicking, at the sudden discovery that bullets can kill people like him too, and from this spawns vast armies of deranged leftists out to kill him and his. He points to a group of fundamentally apolitical sociopaths, and screams that they are leftists, yes, yes, they are. He talks about people who hate Americans, and what he means is people like him, white male fascists, because those are the only real Americans in his mind and everyone else is just pretending. And from there, we are treated to Muir describing his imagined foe, and coming up with himself, yet again, and then spouting bizarre misogynistic nonsense that he seems to think is political theory.

What's coming through in all this is how little Muir is enjoying this presidency. Because victory is always hollow since it never gets him all the things he wants--which are impossible--and because even a good portion of the things he wants are stupid and self-defeating, getting those tends to result in reality starting to hit, first a little, and then very hard.

And he's never learned. Not a bit.

Fear, Always Fear The Decadent Urbanite.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Sabotage.

The astonishing thing is that Muir is convinced that it's still 2020 in Portland.

Then again, as Eva demonstrates, time in DbD moves funny.

All The Self-Awareness Of A Mollusk.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Man Who Knew Too Much (1934).

The usual projection is bad enough, but once again, Sam and company strolled into town intentionally trying to rile people up, and people realize that. Like so much of Muir's moral universe, it's the stance of someone who, to paraphrase Bomber Harris, lives their life in the naive belief that they will attack everybody, but no one will ever attack them.

Muir Extols The Secret Redneck Elite.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Kamen Rider ZO.

...

You know, it says something that even Muir's cast acknowledges his bizarre fascist screed is a confusing mess of a metaphor.

Remember, All The Enemies Are Actually The Same.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Ball University.

...

...

Muir really wants the charge of having a huge horde of enemies while having the security of only facing pathetic inferiors.

He Knows This Is Happening By Faith.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because like good old bricks they stood the kicks in the days of 49.

Remember, Muir will consider tactics like this completely valid when they are actually occur in the next de facto fascist Republican regime, because then the press will back to all being evil liberal subversives.

She Knows How To Deal With The Hell Of PORTLAND!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Knights of Cydonia.

It's the cowardice that gets you. This is a man talking tough about imaginary enemies he cringes from.

We Are So Oppressed, Man!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because napkin.

And soon he's going to be back to claiming the Capitol insurrection was utterly harmless.

Remember, Sam Is Good. Muir Says So.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because he'll buy that for a dollar.

You know, it's almost a chicken and the egg question if right wingers like Muir depict the left as a conspiratorial amoral hivemind filled with degenerates because they need to project their own mindset onto the opposition, or if they've become what they are because they've been told that they face such a group and the cry of desperate measures breaks them down as moral actors. I suspect it's a combination of both with the starting points being different for different individuals. After all, it doesn't matter how it starts--how it ends is you're a fascist misogynistic white supremacist peddling stories about the evil sex maniac Demoncrats as you fap off to them because you've normalized a lot of horrific shit for yourself, while projecting your now badly-policed worst impulses onto your opponents.

Words Don't Mean Anything, Really.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because a shame you see an honest man.

Watching Muir declaim on what leftist politics consists of is always weirdly fascinating because he clearly has no idea what he's talking about, but imagine he does.

You HAVE To Be Carefully Taught...

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Long Gone Geek.

...I don't know what's more disturbing, the fact that Zed's lesson is that those not of the body are pathetic and inferior and deserve death for their different opinions (which do not need to be seriously examined, for we know they are pathetic and inferior for they not of the body)...

Or the fact that he writes a thirteen year old with the dialogue of a nine year old.

...Says The Foreign Backer Of A Racist Militia.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because a Sweet Century.

And remember, you know that Antifa and BLM are the same thing because Even Liberal Jan says there are and she's a liberal, and also, one of the foreign-based financial backers of a racist militia, and wait, wait, back up, forget that bit for now.

Ad Hominem Attacks Prove His Point.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Harikiri.

Ah, yes, a lifeless strip of Muir repeating stupid arguments he's heard from someone else. Classic.

Texas! A Magic Land Where Muir Would Be Appreciated!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because the Sword of Doom.

There's a lot going on in this strip, but it's all stuff we've seen before--Muir's fantasy Texas, Muir's simultaneously threatening and harmless antifa thugs, Muir's dumping on Skye--so instead I will note that Sam's devolving into abstract shapes over the last few strips is somewhat terrifying.

It's Confusingly Blocked Theatre!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Limey, with Terence Stamp.

...

So,was that a dream sequence, or... what? This is badly done even by Muir's standards.

These Are All Real Things That Are Real!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Celebrator!

So, remember, all these protests are really just a small group of people roaming around and instigating things, and all real Muricans hate them, and they are the total opposite of good Right Wing movements, that do things like have people cross state lines to kill people in places they don't live, which is...

Anway--EVIL SOCIALISTS! THUGS! SOROS! SOROS!

Monday, September 7, 2020

Remember, They Are All Frauds And Manipulated Savages.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because vermouth and tonic.

As the Right's little pet movements tend to be heavily astroturfed and dominated by ringleaders, they thus assume their opponents' equivalents are even moreso.

Which results in bizarre nonsense like this.
