Muir Isn't Jealous Of The Decadent Cosmopolitans! Don't You Ever Think That!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because King of the Congo.

Every now and then, Muir makes a cartoon that underlines there's a tiny part of him, somewhere, that knows he's a fucking parody of humanity hating on people who are better than him, and desperately telling himself that the absolute garbage he's allied with are the champions he's saying they are no matter how many times they keep demonstrating that nope, wrong again.

And that tiny part makes the part of him that honestly believes this bullshit worse.

He Imagines This Is A Christian Sentiment.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Mike or Alec or Rufus.

So there are three major things to unpack in this--first of course, is Muir's always self-righteous version of God-bothering, where bigotry and awfulness are part of what mark you as the chosen and where you are being so persecuted, man, for this, which shows you're a For Real And True Christian.

The second is how this is a good example of the Romans' weird status in Muir's Right Wing Pop History mind. They're to be respected, some of the time, because Western Civilization, but only some of the time, because the Decadence, and also, Bad to Christians. In essence, they don't get the love the Spartans get, because Muir doesn't see them doing That One Cool Thing.

The third, of course, is that Muir's still trying to make Teeter a thing.

Only Corruption Would Make A Judge Not Approve Of Fascism!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Columbo Goes to College.

Once again Muir's sore winner tendencies on display, where what's demanded from everyone else is constant and complete validation and submission. And also, once again, Muir's just ignoring everything that's going on in the world. Tariffs? What tariffs? (And for that matter, ever notice that Muir's cast of 100% All-Muricans don't give a damn about sports except to complain about how Black athletes are getting uppity? Houston is in the Men's Championship in an upset, and Muir's cast doesn't give a damn. I guess they're only so Texan, after all.)

Muir's Still Angry That A Black Man Was President.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Columbo Goes to the Guillotine.

Muir really must want to tune out the real world right now. He's just playing the old standbys, screaming that Obama wasn't a real Murican and drawing weird, bad pinup art of his female cast.

This Time He's Sure Trump Won't Disappoint Him!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Prescription: Murder.

Aside from Muir once again demonstrating his ability to blow up his own arguments and gloat while doing so, we've also got another demonstration that his great and abiding love of the Constitution doesn't mean actually following it.

PRECIOUS BODILY FLUIDS!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because the Flying Dutchman.

I keep noting you can count on Muir to take a joke that is at least competently delivered through brevity and then bludgeon it into the ground by dragging it out and filling it with crazy.

Somehow, It Always Comes Down To Purity Of The Blood With These People.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Space Ironman Kyodain.

Muir is still mad that a Black man was president, and he's still mad that the country isn't an ethnostate.

And remember, he thinks this proves what an unvarnished patriot he is.

A Worldview Constructed From Crazy And Online Bullshit.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Moonlight Mask.

Muir believes the people who tell him what he wants to hear. And what he wants to hear is that horrible things are happening because people have turned their backs on racist, isolationist politics.

A Random Barrage Of Racism, Misogyny And Paranoia.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Kagaku Sentai Dynaman.

It's been fascinating how the Right's response to Kamala Harris becoming the nominee is such a muddle of awfulness. As usual, Muir parrots the awful opinions of others that mirror his own bigoted impulses and thinks this makes him insightful.

Still Not Over A Black Man Having Been President.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan.

This is Muir's present conspiracy theory, to believed in utterly, until he gets a new one, at which point, it might vanish mysteriously, never to be mentioned again.

Racism Is Totes The Best Way To Handle Politics!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Ultraman Dyna.

This shows so much of Muir. His witless racism that he will stubbornly insist is not racism. His continued resentment of Obama and need to pretend that somehow, he doesn't count as a president. And most of all his ignorance of foreign politics, where events are filtered through the babble of other ignorant racists and fascists. Two men who have nothing in common politically are made into equivalents, based entirely on the fact that they are minorities in power in European countries with names Muir sees as funny and foreign to their nation, much like, well, Obama. I suspect if he'd written this a month from now, Rishi Sunak would be added to the list.

Rishi Sunak, woke leftist. It boggles the mind.

Still Angry That A Black Man Was President.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because mixed with aloe vera.

There's really nothing new in Muir's insistence that Barack Obama is the secret shadow president, that immigration is a Democratic plot, and even that this compromises treason and thus makes what the cast does not treason. So I'll focus on the fact that Zed's response doesn't remotely follow from Sam's comment.

God, the lack of craft in this strip is just terrible.

He's Still So Mad That A Black Man Was President.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because JUCO.

That entire strip exists for a terrible and obvious punchline that does not in fact line up with what is said in it at all.

So, yeah, I'm betting Muir ripped off some bad joke an online acquaintance here made and muddled it beyond repair.

The Crazy Loops Back On Itself.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Tiger March.

You know, even as Muir regurgitates the same old crazy and the same old theories, he broadcasts how mad he still is that a Black man was elected president.

Their Suffering Doesn't Fit Muir's Worldview, So It Is Imaginary.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Iggy's gone.

So, Muir sneers at a war and then comes up with the latest crazy Biden theory. Not much, so I expect the really crazy stuff tomorrow.

Tonight On Badly Blocked Theatre.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Black Extra-Aged Bourbon.

The combination of Muir's latest gobbledygook conspiracy theories and terrible skills at drawing actions sequences make this one especially painful to read.

So, This Is Just Going To Keep Happening For Now, Eh?

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because and they danced.

It's interesting how with Trump we got a continuous presentation of an omnicompetent administration that kept ignoring how it had to unpeople former members, while with Biden we get a succession of imaginary shadow governments that are supposed to be the ones really calling the shots, while Muir spews hatred at anyone who doesn't back his brand of bigoted nonsense.

This Is What They're Really Like!

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Luke Kelly.

The worst part about this is watching Muir pretend to care about things. He doesn't. He has a sort of shallow affect version that he puts on when he has the idea that he's supposed to be concerned, but he'll go back to not caring the moment that ends. Hell, one can see this in the comments, where for many of his fans the answer to Afghanistan is unrestrained genocide.
