    From 2026, when Donald Trump does more self-dealing, more grifting, has more conflicts of interest, and commits more crimes in one day than most crooked politicians of the Before Times would manage to achieve in their entire lives, and when off-the-charts corruption has become so routine and normalized that most of it barely makes news anymore, when there is literally no remote hope of legal consequences for any of it, and the Republican Party has made it clear that they never actually gave a damn about the rule of law——
