And remember--acting in the interests of a race is the same thing as acting against the interest of ANOTHER race. And "black" is the same as "white"!

    I’ve come to see the Trent Lott incident as the perfect measure of how much worse the Republican Party — and people like Muir along with it — have become.
    If someone in the party said that today, they would not only be defended instead of castigated, they would be politically undamaged.

    In 2003, the Republicans still thought they had to pretend. Now they know they don’t.

      Ask Steve King or Matt Gaetz about that.

      For all that Trump seems to operate on his own laws, political gravity still exists.
