It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Crimson Ghost.
Through an incredible coincidence, I actually know the online conspiracy theory Muir's referencing, the infamous "Short Trump" theory, and it suggests he's breaking with the likes of Teddy Beale for a little while at least. But as he is still swimming in the waters of other crazy conspiracy theories and shouting that up is down and defeat is victory, who knows how long before he changes his mind on that.
Again, if there's one thing Muir's proven while insisting just the opposite, it's that he's one pliable, gullible man.
POSTSCRIPT--What I assume was tomorrow's strip originally went online at the same time in what was a very confusing manner. The malfunctions keep piling up.

Hm. Never encountered Short Trump Theory.
ReplyDeleteWell, not that kind of short.
Okay, simple explanation. Imagine that you're a Right Wing wingnut who has become disillusioned with Trump. Now many, like Muir, are going to be able to by another ticket on the 'Sunk Cost Fallacy' Ferry and convince themselves they aren't drowning in disappointment, no, that water is the ondeck pool, and yes, of course there's a pool, shut up. But for those who can't--well, if you have an iota of self-awareness, you admit you were wrong, and you say so, and your name is likely Margery Taylor Greene. But if you are ever so fond of having always been right, you convince yourself that something must of happened, that the Trump you liked was good, but the Trump you don't like is some sort of impostor. And that's when, as a wingnut, you start the crazy theorizing. Something has happened, and Trump has been replaced, they're using a stand-in, and the proof is he's shorter. Nevermind that Trump has always exaggerated his height, and is a now nearly 80 year old man with bad habits, a weight problem and a lifelong tendency to slouch. Nope. A body double. In the service of (((them))).
