So, is this going to be a time travel story, or a VR simulation story with time travel elements?
Ehh, mostly a chance for Muir to bludgeon us with his ignorant jingoism masquerading as patriotism. Again.
I'm not expecting any kind of story, really, since Muir's attention span grows ever shorter.
ReplyDeleteWell, his storylines have always been chaotic jumbles. That goes back to the start of the strip. It's like the art--it's gotten worse, yet, but it was terrible even at the start.

I used to read Safe Havens by Bill Holbrook. That comic drives me little nuts because he has all these creative, funny, interesting plot lines, but I hate the way everything is always paced so quickly and there’s never any change in tempo. He just races through everything. To me it makes that world feel so much more “surface” than it should. Especially since these characters started out as preschoolers and are now young adults.
But at least that pacing is a stylistic choice on his part, and not a symptom of bad writing, a short attention span, an inability to commit to an idea.
