Notice that Jan the Straw Liberal doesn't even suggest that WMDs don't exist. Which turned out to be the case. Or that the UN should be allowed to continue its inspections. Or ask just exactly how Iraq is going to stage this WMD strike. Nope, she suggests the stupidest possible answer.
And if she'd done anything else, she'd be letting the terrorists win.

Given that this is pre-insanity Muir, I’d be genuinely curious to know if he knew this was silly, or if he believed that Jan’s nonsense was close to the actual truth of what objectors to the war were saying.
ReplyDeleteEven at this date, Muir was very prone to assuming that his opponents recognized certain obvious truths that were neither obvious nor true.
