It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Rashomon.
You know, as we stare at El Dorado Dad acting as the Daddy Warbucksesque deus ex machina once again, continuing the ongoing breakdown of what little reality remains in this strip, let's take the time to really absorb Samurai Mom's really weird yellow skin tone, and think to ourselves, this is how Muir treats the minority 'characters' who he imagines he likes.
And once again, his fantasy about the way the world should be is one of complete corruption, where the wealthy can buy whatever they want--like a hospital, so that their relatives can get preferential treatment. It's funny that Muir probably despises some foreign countries where that kind of corruption and bribery is rampant, and yet he would love for the same to happen here.
ReplyDeleteIt IS striking, isn't it. You articulated that better than I was about to.
DeleteWhen the (((globalist elite))) do it, it's corruption. When plucky right-thinking "conservatives" do it, it's sparkling cleverness.
