"Ah, That Thrilling Moment When I Said, 'Hi, Zed, From Design'. Maybe. Is That Still Canon?"

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because King of the Royal Mounted.

I do appreciate the occasional reminder that despite purporting to be the same characters who started out in 2002, we're actually dealing with some alternate universe version of them with similar but not identical backgrounds, where events happened differently than we saw, and may have had a different emphasis on things.

I don't think Muir realizes that, mind you, but that only adds to the unintentional comedy.

  1. So three things:

15fixer’s comment is melting my brain. Even for this crowd, this is a level of up-is-down, black-is-white lunacy that is enough to tear space-time.

How do you look at the catastrophe we are in, and come to…literally the EXACT OPPOSITE conclusions about how (in part) we got here and how we get out? The *literal* EXACT OPPOSITE.
It’s like telling an anorexic that the cure to their illness is to start dieting, or someone losing their hearing to start blasting their earbuds at top volume twenty-four/seven. Or telling a soaking wet person to dry off by jumping in the pool.
I’m just at a complete loss.

    Pamela:
“Was Sam still dating Damon when Zed met her?”

    Chris Muir:
    “Yup”

    Wait. What??

If that happened, that was a retcon I didn’t know about.

    And finally.

Muir’s graphic skills are deteriorating to a degree that just gets more mesmerizingly grotesque the longer this goes on.
You aptly used to call Jack “Solomon Grundy”. But even he looked less horrifying than Zed suddenly does here. He’s transformed into a hunchbacked troll-golem with soulless eyeslits and a chillingly unreadable face.

    And Sam….is a fish.
    A fish with Mar-a-Lago face.
Who has supplemented the surgery by having her mouth widened via incision.

    He thinks this looks good.

So do his readers. They even say so here.
