"And Then HE WOULD CRY!"

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because The Steel Trail.

And here is Muir at his most pathetic, ignoring the blatant efforts to subvert the Constitution the man he's presently following, shrieking that reforms to correct institutions that he and his have thoroughly corrupted and turned into threats are betraying the government and writing a sad little cartoon where the target subjected to this imbecilic harangue just quivers and gives up, for who can resist this transcendent truth?

Again, simply pathetic.

  1. DBD has been an integral part of my education. In my long-ago naive days, I was much more inclined to assume a certain amount of good faith and/or give at least some benefit of the doubt that there were legitimate sides to issues that I wasn’t my hearing about.

    That’s done.

Also, one of the most annoying aspects of Muir’s writing of real-life politicians is how he almost always has them referring to each other by last name. He even had Trump always calling Mike Pence “Pence”.

    1. Oh, God, yes. His Trump is oddest one because he does occasionally have a distinct voice--most of them don't--but it's a very poor pastiche of Trump that regularly gets things wrong. And it's not consistent, so he'll regularly slide into the standard Muir Right Wing Politico Argle Bargle.

As I noted in the later posts, this is a spectacular example of his ability to fail at keeping a consistent tone and voice. The overall situation that Trump and Schumer are in literally keeps shifting between lines.
