"I Read It In The Politically Incorrect Guide, So It Must Be True!"

It's the Day's Day of Days!  Because aluminum tastes like fear.

Except that Charles Martel defeated the Moors at Tours.

And that was over two centuries before the Crusades.  And had little to do with them.

 Oh, and Martel used the defeat to shore up his family's power base in the Frankish kingdom--which wasn't EXACTLY France, yet--and let his son, Peppin the Short depose the Merovingians kings with the approval of the Pope, and set his own line up in power, until they were in turn deposed by the Capets.

So... yeah...
