    I like to think I do a reasonable job of keeping track of what's going on in the fever swamps (to the extent that one can do so while (A. having a life, and (B. not going completely insane), this is one of those times where Muir makes some passing assertion and I have no earthly idea what he's referring to. "Deep State boasting they rig U.S. elections since 1980." Oooookay. What does that translate to in real-world talk? What is Muir referencing? Who? Where is he getting this and what real-life thing, if any, is this a distorted version of?
    I have no clue.

    There are various conspiracy theories that believed the CIA killed Carter's presidency. That the Right is adopting is the strange part.

    Never heard of that one. But regardless, what on earth is he referring to when he says the Deep State is "boasting" about it?
