    And what is this crap about Biden and whoever else wanting war with Russia? Just about everyone involved has been trying to carefully not step over that line, and make very clear that we don't want to put troops in Ukraine, don't want to start World War 3. Once again, I feel like I'm inhabiting a different reality than these people. Where is this coming from?

    It is beyond comprehension how insane Muir and his followers have become. What these people belief is happening in the world is more crazy and unhinged than anything out there, save for the QAnon hysteria.
    Muir has moved so, so far away from where he began with DBD in 2002 that it's difficult to conceive that his politics were ever grounded in ANY sort of reality.

    I continue to watch how Muir's descent into lunacy mirrors what has happened to the conservative movement overall. Conservatives used to be people that I had philosophical and policy disagreements with, but we could still have a conversation about those disagreements most of the time. Now, most conservatives I know inhabit the alternative QAnon reality, and we can't talk to each other, because we don't even share a basic perception of facts.
