As we stare at Muir once again declaring that a dictatorship would be great, just great actually so long as it's his racist sort in charge, let's acknowledge that we've gotten something new with this one. An actual address to where he's getting this crazy 'That's not how it works' bullshit.
I checked it out and trust me, it's as batshit as you might imagine. Maybe even moreso.
Look, this guy is selling his own bizarre fundie novels on this substack. We are in 'the interwebs delivering the gibbering of crazy people straight to your brainpan' territory.
Thank you for giving me a good laugh, especially with that last sentence. I checked out "ekolovesyou" too, and something about the insanity of that combined with the peanut gallery is making the experience even more depressing than usual. They're saying the same terrible things about wanting to kill everyone who is not like them and therefore not human, only with a little more verve and arrogance because of the Venezuela situation. Possibly an indication that looking at this cartoon is not the best thing I could be doing for my mental health, heh.
ReplyDeleteEhh, I expect the high from Maduro is going to fade fast, especially as it's growing increasingly clear that this largely happened because Maduro's own people sold him out. And I argue the indications show they did so because they were sick of him, not because they were quaking in fear at Trump and co.
DeleteI truly hope you are right. Lord knows I'm not a fan of dictatorships whichever flavor they come in, including Maduro's. It's just hard to stomach the MAGA enthusiasm and long list of who else they would like to kidnap, including their fellow Americans.
