      It's pretty much a stopped-clock situation. Muir is "right" but for reasons that are completely insane and separated from reality.

    As with his uniquely deluded take on McConnell. In reality, McConnell should be a hero of his.
    Muir has it absolutely correct that McConnell is a swamp creature (he is, in fact, the LEADER of the swamp), but is too fanatically delusional to grasp that McConnell is not only advancing much of his cause but making it almost impossible to unwind.
