Remember all those times I noted that the bloom was off the rose for Muir as regarded Trump, and he was increasingly forcing himself to mimic an enthusiasm he didn't really feel.

Oh, he's admitted that quite a few times in the past. What's interesting is that his takes on Trump's buffoonery get, well, more buffoonish, while his protests get weaker and more desperate.
