Confirmation--Muir Hasn't Read 'The Wizard Of Oz'.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because one hundred years of treats.

You know the fascinating thing about Muir's incoherent ramblings--and they are hella incoherent--is that when you break them down, it's the old fascist standby, "We are the good and pure who've seen the nation through dark times, they are the degenerate traitors, and ignore what actually happened, and how we fucked everything up, because feels, and also, herrenvolk." It's an endless loop that's people convince themselves that this time of siding with people who hurt them will go differently, frequently while declaring the people they used to see as good guys were of course, always impure traitors.

And so we wait for Trump to join Muir's pile of discarded idols, in time.

  1. I'm not convinced that Trump will join that pile. The brainwashing is extremely deep. That said, Muir was a Trump skeptic at first, so who knows.

I really, really, really, REALLY wish I could understand why Muir thinks McConnell is ineffectual and weak. I cannot fathom what standard he is applying.

    1. He used to adore Cruz this way, and now look at him. Muir doesn't really do actual loyalty.
