Muir's ongoing slide to a more and more naked fascism has always been joined by more projection onto the Democrats and more yelling about the GOP being weak sisters. It's just been reaching an actively bizarre level these days.
Once again, I would give my left nut to know how Muir is able to view the GOP as ineffectual. McConnell in particular.
ReplyDeleteI think the thing to remember here is that Muir does want to actually get things done in the legislature, and is capable of seeing that the GOP and McConnell are not that good at this. Obstructionism and more judges are tough things to get excited about, as they rarely produce the red meat Muir craves. (Indeed, for all the doomsaying in some circles, it should be remembered that a court system that gets too full of itself can be swatted down by the legislative branch with a vengeance.) And so Muir looks at a GOP that hasn't magically rolled back the entire Obama presidency so that it never happened, and decides this proves that the party is filled with traitors and the disloyal.
