At times like this, there's an undercurrent of frustration that Biden isn't the pathetic fool Muir wants him to be, so Muir will just yell that's what he is louder. Because that's how you make it true.
The sheer amount of naked, brazen, in-your-face misogyny directed at Harris is truly remarkable. In some ways it's even more mendacious than than what was directed at Hillary Clinton.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I hadn't been aware until only recently that in right-wing world, it's simply a truism that Harris "slept her way to the top". Or actually, according to the especially awful in this crowd, "SUCKED her way to the top".
Thus the constant descriptions of Harris as having spent her career "on her knees".
(Which frankly, all by itself, kind of tells you everything you need to know about these people. It's not enough to merely call a powerful woman politician a slut, they have to make sure you're envisioning her in a position of lewd, derogatory submissiveness. It's just....well, again, it tells you everything you need to know.)
Note her two main nicknames among this crowd --- "Cametoe" and "Kumalot". Oh, and of course there's "Mattressback".
All pertaining in some way to female genitalia or sex. Because far too many men are incapable of insulting women they don't like without bringing genitalia into it.
I really just can't stop being amazed at the awfulness of this crowd. I know I'm always saying that, but it's true. I can't. I never get numb to it. It always shocks me. Every time.
Also, frankly, it's quite weird that they consistently fantasize about people they hate engaging in sexual activity.
The filthy comments about Harris in this thread are of COURSE followed up by plenty of "somebody get the brain bleach" comments, because these people are predictable as the sunrise and have no original material. (Seriously---can't they come up with ANYTHING new? "Brain bleach" might be one of the most commonly typed phrases on the entire internet.) But really, why do they keep picturing things that they profess to be repelled by? Over and over and over, they invoke images of coitus being partaken by those they despise, professing to be traumatized by their own thoughts immediately after.
I ain't no psychiatrist. But I would really be curious to see what one might have to say about that.
Thank you for calling that out. I was disgusted by those comments as well. I would love to ask these people what their evidence is for Kamala "sleeping her way to the top," but then I have to remind myself they are not big on data and facts.
DeleteAs far as I'm aware it has to do with her past relationship with former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, who was separated at the time he was with Harris. Apparently while they were in this relationship Brown helped land her a position of some kind (forget the details without looking it up).
DeleteAnd....that's pretty much it, as far as I've been able to find. That's what the entire "spent her career on her knees" trope is based on.
It is genuinely awful. The smears against Biden and Harris have a nastiness to them that exceeds anything directed at the Clintons, quite possibly because the average Far Righter knows that the general public doesn't buy them, and so they try to solve it by yelling louder.
