In My Dreams, Johnny Cash Is Singing 'Ain't No Grave' About This.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because you've been flaxed.

...

It's kind of fascinating how Muir has slipped back into 'Trump as the Messiah', after edging away from it.

  1. And any negative comments about Trump in the peanut gallery, even about his age, got a lot of blowback.

But yeah, I can practically hear Johnny Cash spinning in his grave....

I also find the first paragraph of the lyrics, about the man going around deciding who to free and who to blame, to be very typical of what this audience wants. They want a dictatorial strongman. No hint of democracy at all in this comic strip.

    1. Remember, in the song, "the Man" is clearly Jesus, which gives Muir interpretation a rather blasphemous undertone that makes it all worse. As you note, this isn't the spiritual judge Cash sang about, here to render impartial justice, it's a living man whose followers want him back in power to render justice on his enemies.

    2. True! Somehow, these people don't mind being blasphemous about what they claim to be their own religion, when it comes to Trump.

  2. He indeed was edging away from it. I picked up on that as well. But he's back in with both legs.

How does that man manage to reduce so many grown men to being his little bitches? I will never understand it. Never.
