It's the Day's Day of Days! Because into the flood.
What's fascinating in this strip is the clear feeling that Muir resents that spouting Nazi beliefs and proposing Nazi policy gets people from all over the political spectrum saying that he's a Nazi now.

Being of the ethnic extraction that I am, Israel’s bizarre stronghold over our lawmakers and institutions gives me great pain. It’s grotesque, and those perpetuating it cause nothing but harm. That Muir and his horrible ilk are for once not wrong is an especially bitter pill to swallow.
ReplyDeleteWith that out the way. It’s fascinating how these lunatics just so casually accept and internalize the premise that millions of illegals vote in every election. As with every mad conspiracy theory, the sheer amount of people that would have to be in on it — no public evidence, mass exposés or criminal indictments in all the decades this has supposedly been happening — render it absurd on its face.
Gotta love JTC musing about how if we stop those illegals from their illegal voting, the US will stand gloriously revealed as a solid majority conservative nation.
Keep smiling at that dream, mutant.
On your first point--oh, Muir is still wrong about this, because it's the distorted antisemite version of reality that only roughly approximates what's happening, the proverbial stopped clock moment. He's not imagining the actual pro-Israel lobby, with its combination of Israeli politicos talking realpolitik, Born-Agains screaming that we must usher in the prophecy, and Jewish Americans moved by a combination of sentiment and paranoia. No, this is the nebulous (((them))) using (((their))) filthy lucre to make people abandon the nation's true interest.
DeleteInteresting to note, in combination with your second comment, that this is what's getting pushback from the Peanut Gallery, even if it's frequently a choose your poison fight. The idiot illegal immigrant voting conspiracy? Clearly true. Suggesting Israel's interests are no longer the US'? Dangerous lunacy. (Even if, again, the way Muir is doing it is a vile distortion of reality.)
