"All Is According To Plan!"

It's the Day's Day of Days!  Because color sample.

Reading these cartoons, I'm reminded of Phil Dick's maxim, "Reality is that which keeps existing when you don't believe in it."  Which is the problem Muir is going to face with this plotline--he can blow up as many evil Demokrats as he desires, but the real party is going to continue to be in power in the House.  He can scream about Hilary's evil plans all he wants--the real woman is just going to continue her retirement.  He can clear Trump all he wants, but the real man will continue to live under the shadows of investigation and foreign involvement.

Because that's reality.

  1. Exactly. But his habit of jumping the gun has never stopped him from dodging accountability for any of his bad calls ("WMDs were found in Iraq," f'rinstance). But the stakes are so insanely high lately---I have no idea how he'll square some of this stuff if reality takes some very sharp turns.

Okay, I had to read this thing five or six times before I could even SORT of follow it. Do YOU know what the heck is going on here? Even by DBD standards this thing is a jumbled mess. The staging and timing are baffling to the point of incoherent.
Muir would benefit greatly from some advanced storyboarding classes.
(Along with heavy psychotherapy, of course.)

    1. Oh, quite. It's a terrible strip on every level. At least part of the problem is that Muir has an awful lot of information to share with the audience in it, which he does in the most inept manner possible.
