Well, it's good to see Damon going back to his old job of being the black man who can excuse Muir's racism as all right.

    Many years ago, when Muir was still a recognizably normal and sane person, he claimed Damon was based on a friend of his.

    If that's true, the Damon of that period might well have been based on someone Muir knew, but modern Damon, like modern Zed and modern Sam, bears no resemblance to his original incarnation.

    I can imagine plenty of 2003 Damons existing in real life. It is very difficult to imagine a 2019 Damon existing in real life.

      I'd disagree--Damon hasn't changed that much as a character, it's just the racist bullshit and right wing nonsense he spouts is so much worse now.
