The most awful thing about Muir's fascism is how dull it all is, under it all. How many times have we seen some variation of this strip? And yet he pulls it out again and again to wave his fist at an image of refugees that doesn't exist in reality, simply to assuage his awful racism, and his need to feel relevant.
The casual ease with which Muir and his peanut gallery dehumanize millions of living, breathing, thinking people is astonishing.
ReplyDeleteNot for me. The thing about fascists is that every fascist is essentially like every other fascist. Once you go down that road,you wind up this crippled little thing that surrendered most of your humanity, pretending to be something strong and noble.
