It is astonishing how bad Muir is at writing teenagers with even remote competence.
ReplyDeleteHe claims they're 18. This is not how 18-year-olds talk. Almost every time they speak, they sound like prepubescents.
He's therefore sexualizing and infantilzing them simultaneously. Which...is kind of an achievement.
The bad mashup of the twins' drawings, which are... well, late teens, their behavior (ten at the outside), and their age as it should be in the strip is... well, a thing.
Delete
