It Was 'Walt Kelly' And Yes, Pogo Said It, Not Churchy LaFemme.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Daytona.

As I try to deal with Muir referring to a much better strip than his own, stupidly, let's remember that Mitch's unwillingness to break the Constitution for Trump that is causing this snit. As good points go, it is simultaneously tiny--McConnel just wants to keep bending it in his favor indefinitely--and yet also all important. The GOP is a rotten party, but Muir loves the most rotted parts of it.

  1. Walt Kelly was a lifelong liberal, for god's sake. He would have opposed everything Muir stands for (whatever that is, exactly). Quoting him is bizarre.

Also I will never be able to get over this view of McConnell. It might be even more delusional than their view of Trump himself. It's just so utterly untrue.

    1. I think it's in part based on Muir and his ilk realizing that Mitch isn't actually loyal to them and is largely out for himself, much like they're realizing that Ryan was a stuffed shirt. But rather than realize this might say something unpleasant about their cause, they assume that this means the GOP is actually serving the Democrats.

      Somehow.
