Dunno what's more preposterous --- that Sam is basically pimping out her teenage daughters, or that said daughters are happy to BE pimped out. Sure, it's not IMPOSSIBLE for this to be an actual dynamic between a mom and her two daughters, but I doubt it'd be easy to find out there.
ReplyDeleteSam in that second panel. Good god. Her face looks like a Muppet shark, and I don't even know what her hand is supposed to be doing there. What kind of gesture is that meant to be? She's not dabbing her eyes, she's not covering her mouth in overwhelmed emotion. Is that supposed to be a raised fist? Even if it looked like a human fist, the gesture would make no sense in this context.
Take some damn figure drawing and composition classes, you deranged lunatic.
He hasn't bothered for decades, why start now?
DeleteAnd yes, the Sam/Daughters relationship is hands down one of the creepiest things Muir has written.
