The Projection Continues Apace.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Galaxian.

Of course, once you pull out Muir's laundry list of Leftist Evil, you realize the behaviors he's talking about match up with... his own. Because the projection is total, and once you decide that your performative, brain-dead cruelty is strength, and also reason and logic, well, nothing will persuade you otherwise. Not arguments, because you know that only the feeble-minded and emotional would dare argue against your genius truth, and not failure, because you know that only happens when the other side cheats.

  1. And the comments in the peanut gallery constitute the best demonstration of how this projection works...

    First, a comment which states:
And violence. No progressive has ever been able to resist the urge to kill when the opportunity presented itself.

The “siren call of ‘cleansing violence'” is one every one hears inside their head.

And their justification is their privilege of forcing everyone else to submit to their “superior consciousness”.

These are the hallmarks of a cult.

And literally right beneath that is a comment which says:

There’s always the rendering plant or a industrial wood chipper for these parasites…. They could be used as field fertilizer then.

Of course, nobody in the commenting group noticed the complete contradiction and hypocrisy of this situation....

    1. About time someone started bringing up this aspect of the Peanut Gallery's delusions.

Eon in particular is the most intense in his constant projection of the most cartoonish supervillain motives onto progressives. He imagines them to be ivory-tower elitists who view the "plebes" like himself as scum who are utterly beneath them, and exist only as servants, slaves, or cannon fodder, and whose bloodthirsty, genocidal appetites lie at the heart of everything they do, as they are determined to rule over everyone else in order to satisfy both their unquenchable lust for power and to wallow in their imagined moral superiority.

(I would love to see him forced to explain how all this lines up with, say, a living wage tied to inflation, tuition-free public college, and labor rights.)

He, JTC and a few others are constantly on this beat, and it's so fascinatingly twisted that it's almost as morbidly compelling as DBD itself.

    2. Fash are gonna fash, including the bit where they imagine a sinister elite conspiracy that is implicitly Jewish that necessitates them doing all the things they state their conspiracy is doing to defeat it.

    3. Yeah, I know I've said this before, so I'm a broken record at this point, but I volunteer with our local area Democrats...and the portrayal of what Democrats/liberals/Democratic activists are like, both in the comic strip itself and the peanut gallery, is so outlandish it stuns me on a regular basis. In our case, it's mostly a few retired ladies who like to throw fundraisers with pies and raffle baskets. Because they believe in the ideas JLG lists above...living wage, affordable health care etc. Bloodthirsty? Violent?
