Yep. He definitely wrote that strip. Which is a strip that happened.
A day by day look at Chris Muir's Day By Day, punctuated by efforts to make the hurting stop.

I know, right? Oh JOY. Muir has remembered about my ethnic group. I had no idea about my enhanced sniffing powers, but here we are.
ReplyDeleteAnd...you know something, I know there's a fuckton I don't know about the history of this, but in terms of what I do know about, the only group of people I've ever heard about that were explicitly and specifically racist against Slavs were, well...the Nazis.
DeleteTrue--the Nazis thought we were subhuman. (As opposed to Jews, which they considered completely not human...the Nazis liked their hierarchies.) So yeah...Muir is totally following the fascist playbook again. And yet, I'm sure if you asked him, he would tell you that we are the fascists. Because drag queens or something.
DeleteTo be fair, there's a long tradition of anti-Slavic racism in the US, producing such infamous things as Polish jokes. ("Ha ha! Look at them! How dare the people who got brutalized and conquered by three of the most repressive empires in Europe think they're people!") But yeah, this is much closer to the Nazis'... weirdness on the subject.
DeleteAnd you're the Nazi for not letting Muir be a bigot.
