    Sometimes I wonder how much of this lunacy is stuff they're actually directly reading, hearing and picking up directly from whatever corners of the right-wing fever swamps they hang out in, versus how much of it is just them saying stuff they assume is happening because it MUST be happening? Just as you and I know that the tides are currently being affected by the moon without needing anyone to tell us it's happening right now, so do they know that progressives are trashing the economy and empowering "our mortal enemies". Because of course they are. It just goes without saying.

    Anyway, along comes WayneM with some delightful anti-Indigenous bigotry -- and likely slander.

    What the haystack is he TALKING about? WHAT "know-nothing kids violently protesting to reduce the population"? That literally isn't a thing. Is he actually so stupid that he's confusing left-wing calls to address world overpopulation with calls to actually kill massive numbers of people off?? Is he really idiotic enough to think that's what these "know-nothing kids" are advocating?

    Well, he must be, because otherwise his next few sentences make no sense.

    It can't be overstated just how mad these people have become. It really can't.

    Besides which, to the extent that such "protests" exist, where and when have they been "violent"? I guess he just assumes they must be because of course they are. Like, again, the moon and the tides.

      He might be thinking about the British group Extinction Rebellion. Who, while they have quite a few objectionable traits, aren't like he's saying at all.

      But yes, as you state, these are things they simply KNOW must be true, likely reinforced by crazy rumors they read online. It's an echo chamber.
