    In fairness, what other options do you have if you don't know a speaker personally?
    Google Translate always runs the risk of giving you something stilted or overly literal, though (or even outright wrong or nonsensical if you're trying to use slang that doesn't translate), so if it were me to be on the safe side I'd run it by people in places like r/NoStupidQuestions.

      Just make it clear you're "translating from the Spanish". In this case, we've got a bunch of grizzled cartel members who are talking like Spanish teachers.

      Of course, the best would be to not have them at all, but, you know Muir gotta Muir.
