You must travel in more sedate circles than I do. It's there, though it usually at least gets some pushback. I tell you, when you encounter your first unreconstructed Marxist-Leninist, it's an eerie feeling. They're an unsettling bunch, and honestly closer to the Right than they want to admit. There's the shared desire to want to pretend vast swathes of the 20th century didn't happen to start with.
DeleteHmm. Well, I don't tend to roam in spaces that attract elements like that, I guess. I belong the r/tankiejerk subreddit, which gives a glimpse of how these anti-western "leftists" who justify anything China or Russia do prove horseshoe theory correct, but that's about my only exposure to that ilk. And I don't know one way or the other how much they overlap with openly violent types.
