    It's adorable how Muir imagines himself being so simpatico with Trump. Like they're so on the same wavelength about life.

    The real Trump would barely understand ten percent of what Muir writes, and if Muir would remove the scales from his eyes his brain would explode as it beheld who and what the actual Trump is.

      Oh, I don't know. They are both a certain type of racist, sexist douchebag. It's just that Muir tends to imagine positive motivations for Trump that it's hard to see Trump even understanding.

    Exactly. Muir projects onto Trump all these motivations that not only aren't there but that Trump has no frame of reference for even understanding. (Much like Trump certainly has no understanding of Steve Bannon's very specific ideology and goals.)
    And I continue to marvel that the situational wit and sharp sense of irony that he ascribes to Trump, who in real life has just about none of either.
