I have said it before, and I'll say it again--the biggest problem with Muir's versions of the Democrats is that they aren't even good caricatures, both in art and behavior.

Muir's depictions of "Democrats" went off the rails probably around the same time he started becoming so powerfully obsessed with masculinity---specifically the inadequate version persecuting the genuine article. When "Democratic" men (and supposedly, most American men, period) are nearly always depicted as simpering, weak, "feminized" sissies. In fact, in a way they're almost as sexualized as the women are.
ReplyDeleteYeah, while Muir always tended to paint the Left as a bunch of wimps when he set them up to be straw men, some time over the course of the Obama administration it shifted to its present... state of weird.
DeleteUPDATE: And right on cue, the third comment is already a reference to prison rape.
ReplyDeleteMuir, and an enormous swath of the right, is absolutely, morbidly OBSESSED with male rape. They are CONSTANTLY bringing it up.
It's weird. It's just weird.
