It's kind of amusing that Muir's hatred for Paul Ryan continues well after the man's shuffling off to the margins of politics.
Well, there has to be something to laugh at in all that crazy.

Muir’s depiction of Ryan as a hapless, ineffectual flounderer does resonate with what the real Ryan eventually became, but his depiction of McConnell as a weak, simpering bumbler is probably in his top five looniest delusions. McConnell is the savviest, most cunning, ruthlessly effective power player in Washington. Really, he’s the closest thing there is in real life to a conspiracy theory-type puppet master.
ReplyDeleteEhh, Mitch's cunning is greatly overestimated in the beltway. He has essentially two or three tricks and when they don't work, things start going bad for him. But he definitely isn't the weak puppet of the other side Muir paints him as.
