As we look at this ugly, ugly strip, it's hard not to feel that Muir's intermittent attempts to connect his cast to opera is well, not unlike Hitler's own fondness for it--the attempt of a marginal figure to declare he is sophisticated and worthy, and a champion of civilization, because after all opera is cultured!
