It's the Day's Day of Days! Because no two were wed without one has a sorrow that was left unsaid.
While Muir insisting that winning an election constitutes a coup is... well, to be expected by this point, it's the pedantry that gets me, especially as it's wrong. I mean one can argue that the Constitution didn't name the position of President-Elect, but as it did create the process of electing Presidents, and included a transition between a new President being elected and their taking office, with the expectation that this would be followed... well, yeah, it did create the office of President-Elect by default. Muir's argument is his classic fake-patriotism, screaming against long-standing custom because he's being asked to follow the rules.
