    Panel One: Mayorkas actually never said during the hearing that they have "operational control." He has stated they don't have it per the requirements of the Secure Fence Act, and has also reminded everyone that the requirements of the Secure Fence Act are unattainable and have not been met by any administration, including the previous one. (The requirement is that not a single person make it through the border.)

    Panel Two: Again, how does it make the situation worse if the drunk driver was an undocumented immigrant? (which I guess we are assuming at this time) I've seen some people in the peanut gallery opine how much worse it makes the situation if you know the person wasn't even supposed to be here...but for me, if my loved one is in the hospital because of a drunk driver, that drunk driver being a US citizen doesn't make it any better. Of course, I do realize what Muir is trying to do here, but still.

      The entire idea is that undocumented immigrants are just more depraved and will do things like this because that's just how they are. It's racist propaganda. Of course it doesn't stand up to even cursory examination.
