It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Gekisou Sentai Carranger.
It's the levels of awfulness here, like Muir yanking out the Nazi talking points and not realizing they're Nazi talking points, same as he thinks portraying Trump as Christ shows what a good Christian he is.
So many levels. There's the idolatry of portraying Trump as Jesus. I have to wonder, how many of the peanut gallery commenters were outraged by the Paris Olympics opening ceremony and its supposed "Last Supper" scene?
ReplyDeleteIt is very interesting that "Kiko" (Jeff, I guess...I'm losing track here) is asking some very insightful questions about the situation: Does this mean Trump is God? Does this mean his supporters are Gods? However, Muir predictably plot devices any further thought about these questions away, because if there is anything he is not capable of, it's honest analysis of what he has actually come to believe.
Regarding the Olympics ceremony, Muir himself bitched about it. But it's different when he does it, because he is a true believer who is perfect in all he does. Or so he imagines.
DeleteAnd yeah, Muir's ability to avoid looking at himself in the mirror is... well, what it is.
