It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Who Killed Bob Teal?
There's nothing particularly surprising in Muir's latest bit of fascist projection. Muir panics, as he has been panicking, at the sudden discovery that bullets can kill people like him too, and from this spawns vast armies of deranged leftists out to kill him and his. He points to a group of fundamentally apolitical sociopaths, and screams that they are leftists, yes, yes, they are. He talks about people who hate Americans, and what he means is people like him, white male fascists, because those are the only real Americans in his mind and everyone else is just pretending. And from there, we are treated to Muir describing his imagined foe, and coming up with himself, yet again, and then spouting bizarre misogynistic nonsense that he seems to think is political theory.
What's coming through in all this is how little Muir is enjoying this presidency. Because victory is always hollow since it never gets him all the things he wants--which are impossible--and because even a good portion of the things he wants are stupid and self-defeating, getting those tends to result in reality starting to hit, first a little, and then very hard.
And he's never learned. Not a bit.
