How does Schumer's second statement even follow what Pelosi said? It's totally disjointed. But that's always been a chronic Muir-ism.

DeleteAlso, on Schumer--he does have a working knowledge of Yiddish, which is part of what he used to take down D'Amato back in the day.
DeleteI still remember that campaign, because it was a thing of beauty.
No doubt someone of Schumer's generation and background (ethnic and geographical both) would know at least some Yiddish. But I would wager that Muir was relying less on any remembrances of real-life Schumer statements than on stock cliches.
