"You Are All Against The Sheer Awesomeness Of Trump!"

It's the Day's Day of Days!  Because Billy Wilder.

So a lame Clinton joke that's twenty years too late, and reminder that Muir definitely doesn't read the New York Times.

Dull Sunday.  My conviction that Muir is tired only grows.

  1. We disagree about Muir's alleged creeping disillusionment/sense of impending, humiliating catastrophe. You've surmised for a while that deep down he knows everything is disastrously collapsing, while I think that deep down he's just continuing to exponentially ramp up the crazy.

But yeah. Clinton jokes. Recall that back in the day DBD was quite a ways into its run before those stopped being a stock tool. (Until they became one again...)

I dunno what it is with these people. You see us still making Bush jokes?

(Though I hate to admit it, in early 2001 Mallard Fillmore of all things had the only anti-Clinton cartoon that ever made me laugh---it was Clinton at his desk looking at the viewers and drolling "Define 'leave office.'"
Okay, Tinsley. Score one for you. That was actually funny.)

    1. That Muir is only getting crazier is a given. But this reminds me of his late period Dubya-era cartoons, where he was limply going through the motions of defending the administration, with the additional wrinkle that Muir is a lot more emotionally invested in Trump and thus has to officially double down on his support to the bitter end. Muir's problem is, it takes a lot more energy to believe that good things are happening when they aren't, and while he'll probably be willing to shout Trump's praises to the bitter end, it's going to prove a lot more draining for him than believing in the Obama conspiracy to dilute our precious bodily fluids.

Though both delusions are harmful to his sanity.

  2. (Also, I wanna know what kind of steroids Zed's been taking for his shoulders to have suddenly beefed up to Hulk level.)
