"He Is So Bwave And Wugged!"

It's the Day's Day of Days!  Because uranium company.

And so Muir lifts his battered standard to the sky once again after giving himself a pep talk that he pretended was directed at his latest mancrush.  True, it was a stunning demonstration of Muir's ongoing moral and intellectual degeneration from what was not exactly a great starting point to begin with.  And true, it was clear throughout that Muir was not quite buying it the way he had been, and that pure and perfect faith he had in Trump is gone.  But that doesn't matter for Muir, who by this time is old hat at getting by on sham faith and telling himself it's the real deal.  True, conning yourself makes you more likely to be conned by others, but he's used to that.  Just as he's used to calling vices virtues and virtues vices.  Because that's the thing about this philosophy--it's a black hole and you just get worse, and worse and worse.

  1. The wrong turn Muir took in Albuquerque in the early and mid-2000s was abandoning legitimate news sources almost entirely and placing all of his trust into the then-emergent right-wing blogosphere, which was at the high point of its "citizen journalist" salad days. He trusted these ragtag freelance diddlers entirely, and has continued to trust them ever since, following them deeper and deeper in to Crazy Canyon. It seems he will quite literally believe ANYTHING some of these lunatics write.

I wish you wrote entries this long more often. =)

    1. I try to save up where they're warranted.

      It lets them land better.
