Muir's effort at a philosophical discussion between the sisters stumble on the facts that he doesn't know what he's talking about, and imagines he does, and that he has given the sisters personalities as pleasant as nails on a blackboard.

Yes, it's amazing how the entire premise of this and virtually every other "philosophical discussion" he writes is predicated on getting the most basic, elementary facts wrong.
ReplyDeleteSuch is par the course for most of the right-media, but what makes Muir's kind especially confounding is that they're literate and intelligent enough to KNOW better.
Also, Sam's deterioration is really something. A few years ago as Zed was turning into an extremist lunatic, Sam was still a somewhat moderating voice. It's like she was Harvey Dent to Zed's Two-Face trying to pull Muir back from the abyss. But Dent, as we know, was overcome.
