    I sound like a broken record but I continue to be astonished that this is the same person who wrote the DBD of 2002-2008 or so. That version of Chris Muir would never have put such an insane assertion into the mouth of his avatar character.

      I'd argue Zed started getting crazy and unpleasant around 2005, when he changed from "Everyman Schlub" to "Captain Mitty".

      Though his awfulness has been getting worse over the years.
