In Conclusion, Dictators Are Clearly Superior, Because They Own More Precious Metals.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Samurai Trilogy.

...

Moving from the fact that Muir, like most cranks, is convinced that an economy needs precious metals to work, I'm just wondering what the hell Muir imagines is going on in Ukraine, since he clearly sees Putin and Xi having some hold on the man who's, you know, played a big part in arming Ukraine.

  1. It's accepted fact in wingnut land that Ukraine is functioning as a giant Democratic slush fund. Money is funneled to Ukraine which is then laundered and somehow filtered back here into Democrats' coffers. I don't know exactly how the scheme is supposed to be working and I don't know if they know, either.

Of course, there's no actual requirement for things like this to make any sense. I will never, ever, ever forget the time Muir had Zed referring to the CFBP as a Democratic slush fund. That was years ago and it's burned into my brain permanently, just because of how batshit nonsensical it is. What is that even supposed to MEAN in the context of what the CFPB is? What money is being laundered? Money from where? Who's funneling it in? Who's dishing it out? What does any of this have to do with a consumer protection office?!?!

    1. Oh, I understand that Muir is convinced that this is all a confidence scheme... somehow... and that money is being laundered, somehow. What I'm wondering is about the war itself. Does Muir see it as a thing that is happening that we are just... misled on, or does he imagine it is all a giant hoax? (I've seen statements from him in both directions.) How does he cope with Putin losing so heavily so often?
