The Sexism Is There To Hide The Word Salad.

It's the Day's Day of Days! Because Jasper Tudor.

There's something unsettling about Muir regurgitating other people's nonsense, especially because he clearly thinks he's making fantastic points here. His vision of a better world has become the nation divided up into a bunch of petty dictatorships spouting minarchist rhetoric as they pretend they're a freer world. And he doesn't see it. He's that pliable.

  1. Is it just me, or is being a mayor "top down and bottom up" contradictory? Either you're guided from the grass roots, or you're a top down ruler, but I don't think you can be both.

    1. To be fair, Muir probably means something along the lines of 'in these present circumstances the lowly have been exalted, the powerful discomfited'. But it's not clear, least of all because he obviously wrote it for the sexist comment. And frankly, if he did mean it in the way you suggest--well, he does seem to see holding power in just that manner, that you can somehow be a virtual dictator and yet somehow also be simply an agent of the people's will.

It helps when you imagine people who always agree with your imaginary dictator.

    2. And "agree" with the imaginary character about WHAT, exactly? This just keeps coming back to my eternal question for these people --- what do they WANT? I cannot for the life of me make out what it is they actually WANT.

I know what progressives want. I have no idea what these people want.

They don't know what real-life progressives want, because they never actually read or listen to anything that gets said in real-life progressive spaces.

I do not know what they want, and I GO into their spaces.

In fairness, not all factions of the right are as incoherent and vague as that represented by Muir and his Peanut Gallery. But for all their frothing, furious, fire-breathing passion, I don't even know what they're so worked up ABOUT.
